Brookline Together
CONNECT WITH YOUR COMMUNITY
A volunteer-led non-profit promoting a vibrant and livable community through collaborative initiatives that unify Brookline’s business and residential interests.
Our Mission
To promote a vibrant and livable community through collaborative initiatives that unify Brookline’s business and residential interests.
Our Purpose
Brookline is a community worth investing in. Through collaborative efforts between businesses and residents, we strengthen our community while sustaining the longstanding traditions and dedication of excellence of our predecessors, Brookline Chamber of Commerce and South Pittsburgh Development Corporation (SPDC). We catalyze positive change in our community and are driven by our founding ideals of support, empowerment, and progress.
As the designated two-way channel of communication between the City and the residents and Businesses of Brookline BT has an active, formal role in the current development projects and the neighborhood planning processes. This designation by the city also provides BT with the opportunity to convey information directly to our community, get input, and communicate directly back to the City.
By actively engaging with Brookline’s diverse population, BT ensures that every voice is heard and considered in decision-making processes. BT provides community meetings, conducts surveys, and fosters open dialogues to gather valuable insights and feedback. Inclusive participation is key to creating a vibrant, thriving community that reflects the aspirations and needs of all. In addition to our role in urban planning and development, we also focus on economic growth by supporting local businesses through various programs and resources. We are also deeply committed to enhancing the quality of life in Brookline through cultural, educational, and recreational initiatives through community events and beautification initiatives.
As we look towards the future, we remain steadfast in our mission to nurture a community that is resilient, inclusive, and prosperous. By working together, we can continue to build a Brookline that honors its past while embracing innovation and growth for generations to come.
Our Meetings
Community meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each odd-numbered month at 7 pm.
Meetings occur in January, March, May, July, September, and November at Brookline Teen Outreach, 520 Brookline Blvd. (next to CVS).

Meetings include information sharing about local concerns, initiatives, and events from the Brookline Together board, local government, outside agencies, and Brookline residents and business owners.

All meetings are open to the public. Brookline Together membership is not required to attend.
Our Initiatives
One of the more visible ways that BT supports Brookline is by its many projects and activities. These efforts are identified and then implemented by members of the community for the benefit of the community.

While we act as a liaison to the City of Pittsburgh, we are not financially or structurally supported by them. We are a volunteer group of residents and business owners who are passionate about Brookline and creating opportunities for other community members to enhance their neighborhood.
These community-led initiatives not only address immediate neighborhood concerns but also provide fun for those who participate while making improvements and fostering a spirit of unity and optimism that transforms the entire neighborhood.
